Girls Who Invest
The investment management industry has been challenged by a lack of diversity on investment teams. For decades now, roles have been filled from one small corner of the talent pool. Today the industry is missing out on women's and gender nonbinary people’s intelligence, creativity, and values when it comes to managing money. Girls Who Invest has set out to change that. Their strategy is simple, investment firms say they do not see enough resumés from women and gender nonbinary people, so they are creating a pipeline of talented and motivated young people who are prepared to succeed in the industry through intensive educational programs, a meaningful paid internship, and a robust ongoing community. This short video featuring GWI alumni and their current roles at Oaktree Capitol was created for the inaugural Girls Who Invest gala in fall of 2024.
